I tried it last time under the nick "zvolencan1", I´m trying it again.

I will not repeat my last speach, although just one thing:
As you can see, I got nice results in my league once again - from the sixth place after the regular season I was able to advance into the higher league and above all to win my league. All that with relatively young players that I trained myself, with mediocre ability index compared to the rest of the league. And this I say again - it is not by luck...

So I´m asking you again to give me a chance and vote for me, I will do the best I can.

Since the kireneer database site is down temporarily, I would like to ask you for a little help with finding new potential players for representation. If you know about good Mexican players spread around HA-world, it would be great to give me a notice. Requirements are simple: AI 240+, Potential 0+. (The rest is to be considered.) OK, It´s been almost a week since I got the team, so here are some of my thoughts about it:

First of all, the very first look at the roster was a complete surprise and a strong wake-up call from a dream. I can say now that my image of a national team like this was very naive, because, without any exaggeration, my team is idealy trained and I was expecting the same here. After all, it´s a national representation, right? Well... The reality hit me hard.

I will start from the thing I counted the most on: the distribution of ability points. I must say very harshly that there are 3 players altogether that I would consider putting in my own team, the rest is just... Wrong... I don´t have a better word for it. You know, this is the key stuff in my team, this is how I win games, actually this is how the game itself works. I really hoped national team players would be at a certain level at this...
I will give a little example of comparison between two players that I will not name for obvious reasons. Both players have ability index around 300, which is really great, but the first one was trained in such a way, that he is 94% playmaker. The other one hasn´t reached even 75% in any profile whatsoever. That is just unreal. A useless player. What is the 300 for?

Next thing is shooting ability. I won´t go into details, because other NT coaches might read this, but I will just say this: all of the wingers in MY OWN team (including 23 and 24 years olds) have higher shooting ability than 96% of this national representation... That is really scary if you expect to score more goals than your oponent.

Next thing is the amount of experience. My young players would rank average in this team. Again... Scary...

Now if I even have a player with at least good distibution and some experience, then comes the potiential... The best players are at the end of their career with negative potential. It is a very risky move to use them, but I just cannot help it, there is a serious lack of players. So I decided to risk it. I really need some experience in the team, because just high AI and chemistry won´t do it.

The one of few positive things about this team is the defense. I can say that if I don´t take into account the amount of experience, the defense might stand a few blows, but again, in my team I prefer the defense to add to the attack their value through correct profile. This is missing here. But I think I must be grateful for this at least...

The best thing about this team is the goalkeeper, that is without any doubt. The great thing is, he is still young and he literally calls for a really great generation to build around him so this team can fight not for the Second division, but for the First! But I don´t see any generation coming, which is really sad...
But back to the present: I know from my own experience, that only the keeper won´t do the job, but as I said, with the defense like this it might stand a few moments. Hopefuly those crucial ones mainly...

So considering all this I tried to come up with a line-up for the friendly matches... And I did... BUT... There is this huge BUT...

I must say that I was really looking forward to work with this representation, but the thing is, I am not choosing from a bunch of players to use those fitting, I´m using everything there is, no choosing whatsoever (!). At least I tried to cook up something, but I am announcing in advance that I´m not confident about what will happen. And it is not that I´m building an emergency exit here, I´m just informing about reality.

There is a small chance that the line-up will change in the next week, because I´m still searching in HA-world for some better players, but it is more like a dream... So far I searched 33 nations, every league from I. to V. (included), that means I viewed more than 15 000 teams, but nothing useful so far... So wish me luck with the rest.

But I´ll try to end on a high note here — our motto for the next two seasons could be: "let´s hope". :)
And for me this is a great challenge, great experience and I really enjoy every second of it. :) Thank you for it once again.

Hi guys.

You haven´t heard from me for a while, but, to sum it up, there was nothing special to write about. In the preseason it was just about gaining the line-up chemistry to the higherst possible numbers.

Now, of course, the real deal began and I must admit, that I wasn´t happy about the result with New Zealand, because we have a better team, and I tried to play it on normal importance and they obviously went on high. I am still shaking my head about that setting, because it was an important match. So I appologize for that loss, it was my mistake.

The win with Dominica was expected, but the high score was more important and I was satisfied.

Today we are facing a team that really does not belong to the 3-rd category of World Championchip, Colombia, and is WAY better in everything except goaltending, so please expect a little huricane, especially considering the injuries we have. Let´s hope we won´t damage our positive score too much... :/ Just a little warning.

So this was a little reminder from myself to let you know that I´m still here, and working for the success of the national team. (I want that second spot in the standings.) So let´s wish ourselves good luck!

So it´s time to sumarize...

I didn´t promise a miracle, but I was very close to one. To the very last game we had a chance to advance to the higher division. Almost to a half mark of this last match Mexico was the one to advance from the second place. Then everything went to pieces, sadly... There can be many reasons. One is the missing first goalkeeper Escalona. Then ever deteriorating AI of the best players. And I must also mention that our opponent used a cunning move in this match, that I was also considering to use, but I didn´t it in the end. Who knows how it all would have turned out, if I did?

Now I would like to make one correction to the analysis of the team from 27.7. I said that defense was the strong part of this team. I was completely wrong, and it is hard for me to find reason. Maybe the next coach will say something about this. I will not blame Escalona, it is a great keeper even at this age, and as I wrote, I missed him today.

To be honest, when I went to run for the coach of NT Mexico, I wanted to prove to myself that my system works even in higher level that my league team. It is not a self defense if I say that I didn´t get the actual opportunity to test it, because as I stated before, there are 3 players altogether in this team, that I would only consider putting into my own... And the rest is inapplicable completely...

Throughout this whole tournament I felt very hopeless, because I know what it takes to have a team that could stand a competition. As you can see I advanced with my own team Lokomotíva again, and next season I will try the National Cup tournament for the first time. I am really disappointed that I could not show with NT of Mexico everything that is possible in this game of Hockeyarena, but I encourage every single manager from Mexico, to focus on proper training of his best players, otherwise your national team will remain in this deep hole called Third Division for a very long time. But the change must begin alerady with U20 NT. In this game time does not matter, so have patience and I can guarantee you it will pay off.

So at the end, I want to thank that one person for the opportunity of trying this enormously difficult task of training a NT of small country (in Hockeyarena), and I would like him to get known, art least to me. I want to know, who believed in my skills and gave me that one vote. He can contact me via HA-post. I would be really glad.
