UFA No new contract - Idea to let them go sooner
 Page: 1

I think it would be nice to release a player sooner after he has been on the market as a UFA player, It;s now 6 days, But often a manager knows long before that if he offers a new contract or not, So my idea is to make it possible to let him go earlier.

For example you get now this option:
Choose the parameters of this player's new contract:
Contract for 70 days, signing on fee 448 501 304, salary 272 228 (original sum 508 504 880)
I would like to have a second option added: Offer no new contract (player leaves your team with the next update).

I hope this will be possible in the future,

Re. UFAs, and I should really know this by now, but can someone explain to me why if I've made an automatic bid of 400m for my -3 loyalty UFA, it is showing now after the deadline my bid as being inactive and not the highest one..but it says..

Deadline: 10.06 21:50:00
Time: 06.06., 21:53:26
Current amount offered is 257 500 000 from team Democracia Corinthiana, 210 days contract, salary 581 780.
Player is waiting for an offer from his current team!

What's with this Waiting for an offer from his current team? It's kind of confusing. I take it I have been outbid and will lose the player.

You're fine. You have the highest offer. No need to worry.
Otherwise you would've gotten the chance to outbid as the owner of the player. No need for rhat though, since you won the auction already.

Thanks BizzyD. That line about waiting for the offer from their current team and the line about not being the highest bidder on the autobid page need to be reworked a little bit I think as they don't exactly paint a clear picture.

You are right about those things.

Am I right: UFA is "red" player on market, to who bidding is quite pointless with low budget as owner can always decide after 5 days of waiting that this is too few for him :D
Do all players whose contract has only 7 days, go automatically to market as UFA or can player's owner renew his contract before that and prevent him going to UFA? And as starting team I may lose my "star" players because of no having enough money to overbid some old and rich team with billions on account(ok, those teams will never be interested at my players, but theoretically)?
My assignment of buying a player is still undone as it's not easy to pay half of my budget for slightly better but older player than my current ones.

All players (with the exception of those with +3 loyalty) who are 27 and older become UFAs. The player's team will get a chance to match the bid. Players 26 and younger automatically renew their contracts when they end.

You may lose your "star players" through UFA when their contract ends but you do get compensated, a percentage of the winning the bid.

As a new team you should probably focus on collecting veteran players that you can find for cheap so you can stay competitive while building up your team stadium and facilities. It doesn't make any sense to focus on youth at this point.

Many people have ideas, but how many can be implemented?

This is a nice idea, voluntary release of a player. It could actually help far more than hurt since many teams are financially struggling adn can capitalize on an unusually good return on a player via UFA to help finance other re-signings.

Indeed, this should really help out a lot of teams that have been around long enough to build a good training grounds and finally level up a team, but still too poor to really resign everyone easily.

I've been reminded of this first hand with my B team in Mexico, so it's just been stockpiling money for the last 3-4 seasons after trying to build the team conventionally, on a shoestring budget.
