Hanusch 09:35:15, 12.05.21 on players. And you have to create available money to further improve your stadium.
That's already when the strategy has to start kicking in and that I have been talking about earlier. Here also different strategies start to arise and people play the game in various ways. For me, this is exactly the point when this game starts to be fun...

Absolutely agree with Hanusch. Sorry magispeedo, but the way you are presenting here seems to me just as something, what should allow all to have stadium on 250/250. Just making it as simple, that everyone can reach the top level no matter how much effort, time or knowledge he/she will invest. In my opinion it will significantly decrease the competition and creativity in this game. We will all have top stadiums and huge money and the only task would be to buy the best possible players. Nobody will be forced to think whether he/she is going to build a stadium and train their own players or buy old and expensive players, etc. Just flooding the system with money. And the daytraders will be still those on the top, because they will always be the best, when it comes to market and buying players.

I'm playing this game for over 17 years and I have to say, that it's much easier recently, than it was some 10 years ago, when the numbers of managers was over 20 000. Now there is almost 5x less managers (even when counting all the B teams) and with a bit of patience and knowledge you can reach almost to the top quite easily. It definitely takes some time and you need to be active at least on daily level, but otherwise it's not that hard. ;)

@Hanusch

So you raise the bonuses. The game is flooded with money. Everyone gets 250/250.

Never said everyone should have it, just more. I've had 250/250 for years. I'm not complaining here at all.

Best players will still be daytraders and it will not be easier to compete with them

Well yeah day traders will still be on top. I've already said I'm not trying to refute that.

Secondly, the differences between the leagues will decrease and a lot of medium teams will fight for the bottom spots in league 1.

Sounds competitive if you give more people the ability to create top players. Manager skill in training and tactics would be more important if you raise the average AI across the board without raising the max AI a player can reach.

I would agree with you if you said 200/200.

Just no. If more people had better players how would that decrease competition? It sounds more like it would decrease the advantage for rich teams because the game would be less about money and more about player development, tactics, and team spirit if AI is largely the same among most teams....day trading teams being the outlier here.

It would increase the supply of high AI players. Day traders would likely see decreased profits as there are more top players to go around and thus not as many people they would have to outbid to get said top players.

Also, now that counter tactics and chemistry are going to actually be important, you can't just buy the top players and throw intuitive tactics out there.

Basically the rich stay the same and the poor get richer. How does that not close the gap for newer teams?

Exactly, Speedo.

Between this and the ridiculous start up time for a new franchise, it's no wonder this game's been in the state it's been for a long time now.

If I lost my teams for some reason, I'd never start again.

I think I was a bit off on this part TBH. An increase in amount of better players would make it easier for day traders to buy low. But their sell price would probably be lower since that's where the bidding wars would impact day traders. They buy low, but can't sell as high as they used to.

I would be frustrated to lose my WC medals if I lost my account. But the joy in this game for me is the player development and talking shit on the USA boards, so I'd probably rejoin, day trade until I had 250/250 again then go back to developing players.
