I am sitting on 4860 million cash because I stopped using the market long ago. Reason? The market is FLOODED with spam offers. By spam offer I mean nonsense offers by managers who put players on the market 100 times for stupid prices. Even filtering doesn't work bcs you get only list of fake spam offers. You can put price limit that's true, but then you're filtering out real offers of good players valued above 100M.

Simple solution: allow 3 unsuccessful sales of the player each season then double the salary with each unsuccessful attempt. The market spammers will quickly reconsider sending a player 43 times to the market if they double the salary of such player each time they spam the market (at 10th attempt they would release the player or go bankrupt). Ofc this salary increase should be active on spammer's team only and once a new team acquires the player the salary will reset to what it would be under normal circumstances.

We've been discussing these "market spammers" on the Slovak forum, pretty much everyone agrees they're obnoxious (besides the spammers themselves - tends to be a couple of the same managers, lmao). A couple of ideas on how to tackle it were named, but I don't think anyone suggested the idea of temporarily raising the player's salary, I like it :)

Yup need lots of stuff like that but no matter what you're still going to need a willingness to audit transactions that are ridiculous.

Wasn't there a system put in place that subsequent postings for unsold players on the market had to be less than the previous starting bid? What happened to that?

you can wait "couple" of days until the game forgets you have put this player on the market and you can again start asking with higher price again.

look, lowering the asking price doesn't help much if we are talking about useless player who was sent to the market with asking price of 450M and then 430M, 410M etc ... such player won't get sold unless the price gets to his real price around say 50M ... but if the salary of such player doubles each time, trust me, you hurt spammers profits and they will stop it.

or you can ask for 400M, 360M 320M and then only 10k with fourth try.
I like the idea of growing salaries

My point is still that there is nothing wrong with trade, but that the game should not be about day-trading. Normal managers should not be hurt by measures against day-trading.

Growing salaries might be a way, but in that case you also need to be sure that such a player can't be fired. Maybe also team-spirit should be dropping because the dissatisfied player effects the other team members...

Not everyone can play in Netherlands.

Day-trading is the only way for all of us that play in crazy countries like Slovakia or Czechia.

20:42:46, 09.05.23

Well the word crazy says it all...

But we have been here before haven't we?

Jakub Siwek - Reply22:54:06, 08.04.23I think the situation You are talking about is not certainly day-trading.

I mean, buying players, training them and selling them with profit is OK.

The thing You are talking about is some kind of making profit from nothing, just from buying players and still trying to sell them 95028 times for crazy money. And of course, I agree this is weird and not OK. I am thinking how to find some solution here.

You exactly made the point I am making here. (And that is not about where I am playing...)

It’s really difficult to play there. I can compare it with Israel now.

Well, then I agree.
