do you maybe know if something is chnaged recently with the match engine of this game? something should be happened around 3 seasons ago, or so...
something that I must have lost, as I can't recognize this game anymore...I could provide tons and tons of examples in the last 3 seasons with results out of this world...that earlier, simply, didn't happen.
you see poor players, with low AI, making totals (number in the bottom of the game page) higher than other teams, with players stronger...too much stronger.
you see teams with totals much more higher than other to lose game..and I can't find any logic reason for that.
I had games where I was stronger in everything and I've lost. I have the strongest team in my league and I've lost 3 games in a row with very poor teams, without a reason...the funny thing is that they won just that game!!! ahahahah

I agree. The random influence was tweaked. Deliberately or not. It's not a complain. Just it's more noticeable since the last season.

I had the Goalie injured so I've left out some players and got pic...look the difference in the totals down the page but I've only lost to the shootout :)
Losing to poor teams having the strongest team in the league is not something from the past 2-3 seasons. It has been happening to me way more time ago when I had, by far, the strongest team in my country. Even when I had the best goaltender in the worldas far as AI is concerned he had below 50% save percentage against those temas and it made me lose some championships. The worst is that this didn't happen one time it happened almost every time I faced the way weaker teams in the league, or national cup and something important was at stake. It seemed that every time I was facing this kind of teams in this kind of situations the opponent had the game of their lives and my layers were sleeping. I understood sometimes this can happen and it gives a little more reality to the game as sometimes it may happen in real live but haing the same situation eery sigle time is not real.
I've had an insane amount of ridiculous losses this season. Usually, I would have one per season, maybe.
