Hi, I would like to ask if anyone knows what is happening in the draft. A large number of managers in Croatia have noticed that their players, who were drafted this year and after two intensive training sessions, lost about 20 points(AI) at the moment they were promoted.
Thanks in advance for any response!

I don't know about losing points, since we don't know what their points are before promotion.
But I agree, there's seems to be something about the draft players. Maybe their starting AI is lower or the intensive training just doesn't work for them.
Last season I promoted two draft players at the same time, both 17, both got TWO training sessions (+14).
The one with Q94 had 68AI and other with Q97 had 70AI! That's awful numbers, meaning that without the bonus points they were 54AI and 56AI, just ridiculous. Yeah I don't have the best junior facilites, but I think 160 should be enough for a better starting point. And players from my own youth school seem to be way better, even without intensive training.
Pulled a 17y old today, Q 100, P 88, send him to training facility (+6) and he got an AI of 69! that's crazy!
YS 100 maybe this is the problem
All of you have YS 100-150.
Now when there is a YS 250 it serms that this is problem with “low AI”
If YS250 makes players with AI 75-90 so YS100 could not create better player
When there was not YS250, I have pulled from YS100 Q95 AI 55 and another one Q95 AI 75. So there is random “starting AI” which is generated when you pull player into the team.
So maybe you have also “bad luck” when system generated lower AI
But primarily, I think, it will be your level of YS.
I have pulled on YS250 Q94 with+16 total AI 84

100 YS and only 1 training facility instead of usual 2 - you got pretty good AI.

They did not lose anything, AI which is displayed before pulling is very random, it changes each day.
That's fair - but still, this has changed. And wasn't the case before this season. Last season the players got better AIs.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know in the past AI for drafted players didn't depend on YS level or level of other facilites?

I don't think it was any different for draft players. At least I have never seen new teams without stadium pulling out draft players which would be same level as the ones pulled from teams with 100+ YS.

+1
It has changed... maybe not new players vs 100 YS players, but with a 100 YS player your 17y high Q player started out higher than they do now. That hasn't changed down directly after 250 YS has been introduced, but it changed now.

110 YS. AI looks quite good:

So here we should conclude that the draft has something to do with the development of the junior school! Now the question is - what does the junior school have to do with the draft because a player from the draft does not develop in the junior school nor does he receive training, quality or anything based on the development of someone's junior school. That player is a developed player (in real life, high school or university sports) and as such he is in a way a gift that should not be tied to the development of some junior school. We are limited by the draw itself every season in choosing players from the draft and if this is true that the initial ability index is tied to someone's junior school it makes no sense. If that is so, it should have been communicated in an adequate way because none of us players actually know how the draft really works. I think one of the programmers should explain the rules of the draft and how it all works. Because I see that there are examples where someone with a less developed school can draw a great player while someone with a good school draws a player with a lower index.
