With the games of Wednesday April 4, 2007, goalkeeper self-control appears to be implemented in Hockey Arena. If a goaltender struggles in a match, he runs the risk of losing his self-confidence and thus performing poorly the rest of the game. The more self control your goaltender has, the less likely he will lose his confidence.
In the match report, if a goalie loses his confidence, you will see the following message:
Goalie has temporarily lost his confidence in himself
More details to come when Icko makes a formal announcement. Keep in mind this announcement was not written by Icko himself.
Update: Icko stated that goalie self-control is only utilized in friendly matches for the rest of the season. In league matches it will be added to goal skill for the remainder of the season.
