I've just noticed we only had 1 IV league.
We are really becoming an endangered species :D
I wonder if it's because people are leaving for another game or something else. It's sad time though
I'd guess we're down to 20 or fewer really active gms. For me it's the rampant cheating and trolling that knowingly goes ignored that caused people to say what's the point.
i wondered the same things sarabos. i remember how vibrant HA used to be. we had so many active GM's in canada. i did wonder if there was another management game they flocked to.
as for rampant cheating and trolling, is it really that out of hand to make people quit on this? i assumed it was a time thing. like, people just couldnt be bothered to check on their team every so often.
im in III.4 and im always afraid that the loch ness monsters are going to lose their team due to inactivity. they built a solid young team. i remember losing my team to inactivity back in the day. but i just saw that they logged in recently. but interest is definitely waning.

To increase membership it’s not just about owners decision (or lack of) or marketing strategies, it’s up to every GM to talk about it and get recruits / bring back people. This year, if every GM gets one new subscription, wé’ll not be dwelling anymore. Simple as that.

I don't think people realize just how much it's affected things. A big catalyst for it was the creation of B teams. It gave people an avenue to sabotage their competitors teams via ufa bids, young player hording, and doubled the amount of illegal money they could accumulate to do all this. Legitimate small country gms stopped having any hope in the WL. Multiple NAT teams have huge advantages over everyone else from the illegal cash their managers have funneled to them. Unlimited money and scouting to perfectly develop young players and buy all the best veterans. Suddenly our young players aren't as good as theirs. Our veteran teams cant compete with theirs. Suddenly theres less and less motivation to login. We hear from new people all the time that making a great team takes to long....sadly they dont realize it was impossible in the first place. Then add on a community of People with 40+ discussion bans. Swastikas as logos. Bragging about invading countries. Constant bickering. But more than anything when a game's creator takes a complete backseat to this and any game development for years and years then of course people will leave. Just sad more than anything.

Yup just have to enforce the rules like they used to (e.g. i had to message a team who was advertising pedophilia of little boys yesterday) and start reducing obvious cheating transfers to $0 like they used to. But maybe that's all ok nowadays
