Hi everyone,
I would like to announce my candidacy to become the next manager of the U20 national team.
I'd like to congratulate McCracken on his involvement over the last two seasons. He created an excellent team that competed at the World Cup, unfortunately losing several matches by only a single goal. I hope that the favor of the HA gods returns soon!
If I'm elected, I'll be focusing on good talent pool planning and flawless communication with managers to be able to put together a competitive team for the next World Cup.
I am committed to the development of young talents in Canada. Since I started out 10 years ago, I've always made a point of using only Canadian players in my senior team. I competed for a long time in Canada's premier league and was able to stand out a few times in the World League, losing in final once.

I’m pretty sure that you’ll do a nice job since you’ve developed so many young Canadians in your team! As the national team manager, I can say that half of the elite players are in your team! You’ll have my vote!

The last World Cup wasn't the most resounding, losing a few games by a single goal, but we were still able to finish 5th, just a few inches behind the US team. For that I thank you for trusting me!
I learned a lot about the mandate and management of a national team, and for the next mandate, with your help in developing our young prospects, I'm going to do everything in my power to finish at the top of the rankings.

That didn’t look easy to get a nice line-up with the poor depth for some positions, especially defensemen. What can we do in the next weeks? More defensive defensemen? More centers with great passing skills? More XP and icetime for young prospects?
If some games have been lost by 1 goal, I guess we can overcome this problem on next season thanks to a good preparation.

I think we can overcome this too!
We were lucky to have one of the best GK in the U20 world with Rodney (great prospect dev from Hamilton Roadhogs here), who kept frustrating snipers over and over.
That being said, you are pinpointing our main issue: depth. Especially on the D position. At a point that I had to put a 19 yo on the first line with 20 yo, which was quite unusual.
3 things that I can see from current 19 yo group:
1- We need starplayers on every position (we just have 1 guy at 85+ Overall - Barrick from ice angels), meaning that we need common effort to develop skills from this group, so give max icetime (30min+ per game to max training and XP) with optimized facilities (250). From there we could setup a competitive team next season during World Championship.
2- C, we lack good centers. If you have any with good quality and potential, please follow instruction from 1-. Passing skills are priority #1, like you said
3- GK, there will a battle between GK to get the first spot, so please, again, max game played with 250 facilities (training and regeneration)
Of course, if I'm elected, I will send a communication to every manager to share data in order to pick best prospects and give advices and even guidelines, if you want, to maximize their development.
And whatever the outcome of the elections, I remain available because I think it's very important to develop our promising espoirs in order to win championships and also strengthen our senior national team in the future.
Congrats to Jetsdude for winning (even thought it was a tie lol!) Hopefully, we now are looking for wins! I offer you all the cooperation you need as Senior Team Canada manager!

I also have about 1 billion to spend on canadian players who hit the market and need to be developed the right way. Congrats jetsdude!! Wish you the best for the U20. And sorry to all other managers who received inmails from me since yesterday as I could not wait to get precious data for the upcoming season. I even thought it was me winning the coin toss since I had still access to the team! Nevertheless I will gladly share it all with jetsdude. Good luck buddy and I'll be right there if you have any question or ideas to test.

Having an assistant GM isn't a bad thing. Lessen the load on one person. Let me know if you need help scouting teams/players.
Thx deal! Honestly the biggest thing right now is if people could just send friendly challenges to the teams with our best players that'd be great. Seeing so many empty calendars makes me weep haha.
