The development of a major comprehensive improvement/version of the Hockey Arena - version 6.0 - will begin soon. Brief list of upcoming improvements:

- New modern design
- Pulling of the goalkeeper at the end of the game
- Separate playoff and playout player statistics
- Graphical mini-games to configure the stadium and facilities
- New game guide - wiki.hockeyarena.net
- Applications for Android/iOS (maybe)
- The smallest leagues non-hockey nations will be all merged into one big league structure and also the small hockey countries will have the option to move their teams into the same structure or stay in separate countries but those small leagues will get much bigger penalties to their economy and experience.

In version 5.99, we will no longer launch any new features, but we will try to fix as many bugs as possible, that have not yet been addressed, before the beginning of the development of version 6.0.

Great, but app for Android/iOS should be a priority, not "maybe". :)

Also another suggestion that comes to my mind (and I read it here before):
- make it possible that single player (or two, three, four players) plays in both PP or PK lines

mostly depends if we can get enough cash / investments to have those developed.

we will be looking for some investors

that's actually technically very simple, but that decision has to be made.

Of course and I hope it'll go through, because it can definitely help to bring many more (especially younger) people playing it.

Then I think it should be done. It's very much realistic.

Also, subs for players on PK (and 4on4) might be another "small" addition. So that if a player that plays PK made a foul, it should be possible to decide who will play PK instead of him.

Great news, icko!

Very soon is meant to be this half of the year or the second half?

I agree to Pavel Burek. If this game wants to survive in modern era where it needs to compete with all the possibilities gaming culture offers - the Android/OS app should be the least it can help to do it. This game is incredible and its main positive factor is that you need to build everything yourself withoul options to buy some boosts to do it faster. In my opinion it is the main thing needed to be saved.

If about game at all... then I have my thoughts about B teams. In the beginning it was not so conspicuos, but as time goes on it is seem that managers with B teams more and more become stronger and win the biggest tournaments as World league, Nations cup and so on. I dont know if this is the right way to be. In B teams managers are more relaxed to experiment and are not afraid to loose something or everything. In the end I think it distorts the market. I would prefer strong main teams - better less, but more competitive as it was at least ten years ago. Right now there can be to almost 4 teams that is lead by one manager ( including U23 ) and it somehow conflicts with idea and rules that you can have only one team. So if you have more time - you can build 2 teams. If I have less time, I build my main team. The other guy with 2 teams have 2 times bigger chance to win tournaments. Why? Because B teams was invented with idea to hold countries that mostly have no more managers. And they will not be no more. So why keeping these countries in the game artifically? Just them to be in?
I am not saying something is to be changed, but that is just my opinion. Good luck with the new version! :)

I disagree about android/ios apps.

That is huge investment and you would be stuck for long time on recreating current HA twice.

Current players are playing HA from browser, having option to do it from phone app doesn't make any difference.

For new players? HA should be newbie friendly from the beginning.
It's pointless to throw away money on apps if new players will just find out that they have to build stadium for real-life years to start train players. So, I agree with Icko - "maybe android/ios". It's fine idea but there are lot to do before doing that.

I understand and see your point. And it is true. But the consumer in real life is very picky and also mainstream. Nowadays to be seen at all it is needed to have app. Whether it is game or different kind of service - I will also give advantage to one that has the app. It easier for user and and it is the way how to attract new customers. If icko is putting investors and money in the game just to hold existing managers then what is the point? Development is the lack of this game in different ways as we all know. That is why the game is so interesting for existing ones, but also why it is not so attractive to new customers.

Sorry for my lagging english. Phone thinks its own ways :D

Maybe when the new version and upgraded design will come out - we will see if the app is needed or no.

but this will most probably happen within the 5.99 version on the next season start

Wait, I didn't understand that completely, so please explain me on my situation.

I'm from Slovenia, which is hockey nation, so we'll probably still have our own leagues, but because we have only 3 ranks of leagues (III.4 is our last league), we'll be able to decide if we want to move into that "international league"? Am I right? But will that be a choice of each manager or whole community? And what are those "penalties to economy and experience", if we'll decide to not move?

And also what will happen with my B team that I have in Spain? It will move into that "international league", but I'll still own it or will it dissappear (I hope not, because I have many great players there)?

yes and it will be a choice of every team.

Ok, sounds like a whole new system! It can be a game changer for those who have very strong B teams.

Well, not really, just stronger competition for everybody, should help the competition.

So what will happen if only few teams from certain country will decide to stay in national league?

And what will happen with B teams (for example my team in Spain)?
